Steven Rucker Golf Tournament: September 8, 2014
The 11th annual Steven Rucker Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 8, 2014 at the Stone Tree Golf Club in Novato. This event is held to honor Steven Rucker, a Novato firefighter who lost his life in the line of duty on October 29, 2003, battling the Cedar Fire in San Diego County. For the past ten years this event has served as the signature fundraiser raiser for the Novato Fire Foundation, raising more than $250,000.00. Donations received from the tournament have helped the Novato Fire Foundation support the Fire Squirts Camp for at-risk children, an Automated External Defibrillator program, the Steven Rucker scholarships, and various other Foundation sponsored programs.
