Leg. Analyst: Reed Pension Initiative May Cost Billions

Public pension foes got yet another lump of coal in their holiday stockings. The non-partisan Legislative Analyst's Office says San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed's initiative to gut retirement security could cost into the billions over the next two decades, and long-term savings could be offset by cost increases in other areas.
