L1775 Attorney Gregg Adam's New law Firm Profiled in Sacramento Business Journal

The entire public-sector labor group at Carroll Burdick & McDonough LLP split off on its own last week to start a new firm with offices in Sacramento and San Francisco.

Altogether, eight lawyers left the San Francisco-based firm March 30 for Messing Adam & Jasmine LLP. Five work in the same offices they used to on Ninth Street Sacramento; three work in a new office on California Street in San Francisco.

“We are parting as friends,” said Matthew Kemner, chairman at Carroll Burdick. "This is one of the finest labor groups on the union side in the state, while we are focusing on high-end civil and commercial litigation,” he added. “We have the largest German practice in the West Coast — with more than a dozen lawyers educated in the German and U.S. legal systems — and our offices in Beijing and Hong Kong are exploding.”

Messing, Jason Jasmine and Gregg Adam are the three founding partners in the new firm.  James Henderson, Lina Cockrell and a contract attorney named Scott Burns work at the Sacramento office. Adam heads up the new San Francisco office. Jonathan Yank and Jennifer Stoughton also work there.
