Local 1775 Position On Kaiser Nurses Work Stoppage

Dear IAFF L-1775 Member,

I have been informed that the California Nurses Association has called for a 48 hour work stoppage at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital. This will begin at 7:00 AM November 11, 2014 and conclude at 6:59 AM November 13, 2014. Some of our members have contacted L-1775 Executive Officers inquiring about the work stoppage.

The position of the Marin Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1775 is that our members respect the nurses’ right to conduct a work stoppage. However, our members are to continue to perform their duties to transport patients to the appropriate hospital per protocol including Kaiser Hospital.  To date I have not been contacted by an official or spokesperson from the California Nurses Association or Kaiser Nurses Association regarding the work stoppage.
